Note the star ratings for these Science Educational Software programs from Amazon.com.

The stars indicate how well customers liked each program. Five stars is best, four stars is good, three stars average. When you get down to only one or two stars, you should probably skip that program.

Sometimes, though, a low rating could be because just one customer has rated the product, and they might not have been computer savvy enough to know how to install it properly. If you hover over the picture of the science software, a box will pop up that tells you how many reviews the product has received. Sometimes its worth clicking on a product just to read the reviews. It’s a good way to educate yourself about the kinds of things to look for when choosing a software program.

If no stars are showing it just means no one has written a review for the program, yet. If that’s the case, you try searching the web for the product title to see if anyone has any information on it. Just remember that a lot of the sites you find with ‘reviews’ are actually affiliates trying to sell the products. You might not get the most honest review from some of these sites.

Enough talking……happy hunting!
